On February 14, 2019, the Cities Association of Santa Clara County (CASCC) Board of Directors, the lead organization in bringing the communities together, approved the contract with Environmental Science Associates (ESA). ESA, a leader in environmental consulting and planning, brings 37 years of experience with development and facilitation of airport noise roundtables, and related noise, airspace, and environmental issues.
Steve’s expertise is focused on leading effective community involvement programs that bridge the gap between detailed technical analyses and the effects residents experience on the ground. He has led complex aircraft noise analysis at many of the busiest airports in the world. For the past 8 years, Steve has served as the Facilitator for the LAX Community/Noise Roundtable, and 18 year old airport community noise forum.
The CASCC is confident that the newest roundtable has the right experience and expertise to navigate the challenging issues of aircraft noise, multiple airports, and the FAA in one of the busiest metroplexes in the nation.
Until the SC | SC Roundtable website is live, meeting agendas will be posted at on the CASCC website. The Cities Association of Santa Clara County has been the lead organization in bringing the communities of Santa Clara County and Santa Cruz County together. Of the 21 jurisdictions in the two counties, 13 have agreed to partner in this effort.
