Advocacy
The Cities Association bylaws establish the Legislative Action Committee (LAC) with one representative and alternate from each member city, who each receive one vote. The LAC:
-
Enables the Cities Association to advocate on issues of mutual interest
-
Provides basic legislative updates to cities with little or no legislative staff.
-
Organizes emergency responses to urgent issues.
LAC meets as needed before the Board of Directors meetings.
