The Legislative Action Committee (LAC) serves as the JPA’s convening body for member jurisdictions to discuss and to recommend positions on legislative matters, such as state bills and regional measures. The LAC also affords opportunities to state legislators (among others) to present on their legislative agenda and bills of interest. The JPA’s Second Vice President chairs LAC meetings ex officio. The LAC Chair reports out on LAC recommendations to the Board of Directors, who vote on JPA positions.
