The Cities Association of Santa Clara County is one of the many organizations honored.  The Cities Association appreciates the recognition and appreciates the strengthened partnership that has developed with the County during this difficult time.
From Board President Cindy Chavez’s communication:
“Santa Clara County has seen far too much death and suffering this year, but there has also been extraordinary acts of heroism and service from both individuals and organizations throughout the County.
To celebrate and recognize the courage, innovation, and outstanding community service we have seen this year we will be awarding the “President’s Medal for Exemplary Service During the COVID-19 Pandemic” to individuals who provided the highest service countywide during the pandemic.

The awardees will be selected from nominations made by the community by a committee that includes Mercury News columnist Sal Pizarro, County Executive Jeff Smith, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation CEO Nicole Taylor and myself.”
