The Planning Collaborative is working to provide resources and support for addressing the unique constraints on new housing development in each participating jurisdiction. Use these documents to compare fees and permit processes across Santa Clara County, and identify key opportunities for policy reform.

AFFH & Equity

Under the Fair Housing Act all jurisdictions are required to take steps for Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing. The Santa Clara County Planning Collaborative offers several resources to design meaningful policies for overcoming patterns of segregation and fostering inclusive communities. ADUs

Accessory Dwelling Units are an important piece in the housing affordability puzzle, and the Santa Clara County Planning Collaborative encourages policies and programs that make ADUs accessible and affordable. Use these resources to educate staff and community members on laws, construction, and finance, and explore policy options for legalizing ADUs and reforming city ordinances.
