The following community groups work with the Planning Collaborative to support policies and programs that center equity in the Housing Element process.
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has released the official State Income Limits for 2022, effective May 13, 2022 after the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s updated Public Housing and Section 8 Income Limits. For Santa Clara County’s Income Limits and more information see the PDF memo provided below.
In January 2022, MTC-ABAG organized a High-Resource Areas Question and Answer Session with HCD to answer jurisdiction staff questions. Topics included HRAs, including implementation strategies, distribution of affordable housing, expectations for single-family vs multi-family areas, ADUs, SB9, community engagement strategies, lot sizes.
